The L3
Harris Trade Compliance department is an important piece of the international business segment. Candidates will consistently work with L3
Harris Sales and Program Management personnel to provide guidance related to the imports and exports of U.S. State Department and U.S. Commerce Department controlled goods. Candidates must be able to work effectively with a cross‑functional team to keep L3
Harris in compliance with regulations while also fostering international growth within the business. Professionals with prior knowledge of ITAR and EAR regulations and broad project management knowledge will manage projects or processes with no oversight. They communicate within and outside of their function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures, contributing to departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on departmental results.
Functions
- Responsible for the execution of divisional compliance policies (e.g., visitor processing, foreign travel, and restricted parties screening) in accordance with U.S. trade regulations (ITAR and EAR).
- Provide compliance guidance to the business population.
- Authorize license and agreement applications.
- Manage U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Commerce license recordkeeping requirements.
- Review department export authorizations for accuracy and adherence to Corporate Trade policies.
- Implement and adhere to Corporate Trade policies.
- Review the applicability of Exemptions/Exceptions for the department.
- Responsible for the department’s continued understanding of current U.S. Government authorization policies and requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Minimum 2 years experience of ITAR and EAR regulations.
- The ability to effectively coordinate simultaneous activities and successfully prioritize multiple tasks with good judgment.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interface with personnel at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
- Exhibits a high level of integrity and discretion.
- BA/BS or equivalent experience; preferably in one of the following fields:
Business, Political Science, International Studies. - Adept with utilizing computer software applications, e.g., Adobe, Web‑based applications, MS Excel, MS Word.
- Experience with U.S. trade regulations (ITAR and EAR).
- Willingness to travel if required.
