Overview
As Bluewave’s Corporate Development Associate
, you will be an integral part of our Corporate Development team, reporting directly to the Vice President of Corporate Development. You will play a key role in shaping Bluewave’s growth through mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and select investments. This role partners closely with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and execute inorganic growth opportunities that align with the company’s strategy.
You’ll Do
Strategy & Pipeline Development
- Partner with executive leadership to define and prioritize inorganic growth areas aligned to Bluewave’s strategic objectives.
- Build and maintain a proactive pipeline of acquisition and partnership opportunities, including target screening, market mapping, and competitive research.
Deal Evaluation & Transaction Execution
- Lead deal evaluation and transaction execution activities including diligence planning, financial modeling, valuation, and return/risk assessment.
- Develop and refine models and analyses (sensitivities, scenarios, synergy opportunities) to support investment decisions.
- Drive cross-functional due diligence efforts by coordinating inputs from Finance, Legal, Client Ops, IT, Sales, and People Ops as needed.
- Support deal structuring and negotiations in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
- Prepare investment memos, executive summaries, and presentations for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Manage timelines, workplans, and decision points to ensure efficient execution and stakeholder alignment.
Partnership Development
- Collaborate with business leaders to structure and advance strategic partnerships.
- Ensure alignment between corporate development initiatives and business unit priorities.
Post-Close Support
- Partner with Finance to support post-close items that tie directly to deal economics, including earnout tracking and analysis.
- Assist with building repeatable tools and templates to support consistent post-close reporting where needed.
Process Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance corporate development efficiency, consistency, and execution quality (playbooks, templates, diligence trackers).
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of experience with progression in corporate development, investment banking, private equity/venture capital, transaction advisory, strategy, or related finance roles with direct exposure to transactions.
- Strong expertise in valuation, financial modeling, and deal structuring concepts; ability to translate complex findings into clear recommendations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across levels and teams.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong judgment and a focus on identifying and mitigating risk.
- Proven ability to manage multiple work streams in parallel, prioritize effectively, and operate with urgency in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to think strategically and contribute with humility across a broad range of role responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or equivalent experience.
It’s a plus if you’ve got
- Experience in Channel / Telecom / Technology / IT services / MSP / SaaS ecosystems.
- MBA or advanced degree in Finance/Business.
Work Location
This is a full-time, in-office work opportunity located in Salt Lake City (Farmington), UT. There may be some travel, though we anticipate it will be minimal.

Compensation And Benefits
Estimated Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000
Estimated Bonus Potential: $20,000-$30,000
