Summary:
We are seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Supply Chain Coordinator to manage day-to-day logistics operations, coordinate across departments, and drive improvements in our logistics, procurement, and inventory processes. This role is responsible for shipping/receiving, coordinating with carriers and freight forwarders, ensuring customs compliance, and supporting inventory activities to keep projects on schedule and within budget. The Coordinator will play a key role in connecting manufacturing, facilities, and project teams with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure efficient and compliant flow of materials worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Manage shipping and receiving operations, including coordination with carriers and freight forwarders and preparing documentation. Prepare materials for transport, pack outgoing shipments, ensure proper crate/box configuration for fragile or high-value equipment, and load/unload trucks. This role includes daily hands-on work in shipping/receiving area.
- Prepare and process customs paperwork (commercial invoices, packing lists, carnets, RMAs/temporary import/export, HTS codes), and ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations.
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments and assist with shipping quotes and tariff assessments for sales, monitor logistics performance, resolve issues proactively, and maintain accurate records for financial and compliance purposes.
- Support accurate inventory records, perform cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and support materials planning to meet production schedules. Track stock levels and reorder direct materials based on inventory thresholds and production needs.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, facilities, and project teams to align logistics, inventory, and procurement activities with delivery requirements.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness across operations.
- Process purchase orders, communicate with vendors on pricing and delivery, and support procurement initiatives such as supplier evaluation and cost optimization.
Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain coordination, inventory management, or procurement. Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
- Hands-on experience with international shipping, customs documentation, and freight coordination with forwarders and/or customs brokers. Knowledge of Incoterms, HS codes, and export compliance regulations preferred. Experience preparing ATA Carnets preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Familiarity with Lean/continuous improvement practices in supply chain or logistics preferred.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or technology hardware environment preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); experience with ERP/MRP or inventory systems.
- Strong communication skills, detail-oriented, problem solving skills, and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and resolve problems with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate material handling equipment (forklift certification a plus).
