About The Team And The Role We are looking for a Business Continuity Management professional with a strong operational background to join the global Business Continuity Management (BCM) team in Austin, Texas! The BCM program is a critical component of the Legal Strategic Initiatives team, focused on ensuring eBay's resilience across its global operations. You will be supporting the delivery of Business Continuity Management implementation operations covering all aspects of the business continuity lifecycle, including engagement with partners across all business functions, developing and delivering training and awareness programs, conducting Business Impact Analysis (BIAs) to identify critical processes and recovery time objectives, facilitating the creation and maintenance of comprehensive business continuity plans (BCPs), and designing and driving effective simulation and testing exercises.

You will report directly to the Head of Business Continuity Management.

If you are customer-focused, analytical, able to build important relationships, take a strong ownership position, and want to be a true thought partner in a global organization, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

  • Own and complete the end-to-end BCM training program, owning the development, maintenance, and tracking of training across the organization.
  • Support and guide global teams in developing comprehensive Business Impact Assessments (BIAs), helping team members employ their specialized knowledge to articulate critical processes, dependencies, and establish Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs).
  • Facilitate the development and documentation of recovery strategies to continue/restore our most critical business functions, ensuring these strategies are sound and directly based on the outcomes and priorities established in the approved BIAs.
  • Support users and drive system improvements to optimize the BCM Service Now tool efficiency.
  • Mitigate Third-Party Risk:
Support the vendor resiliency vetting process to ensure critical third-party dependencies are appropriately handled, thereby shielding eBay from external supply chain disruptions.

  • A proactive and results-oriented approach and the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a successful track record of building relationships with diverse, cross-functional business stakeholders to facilitate program implementation.
