Job Summary
Electronics Technician, I
Assist team by performing analysis, testing, and support of electronics and circuits. Support engineers by fabricating and assembling electronics prototypes from blueprints, schematics, or sketches using knowledge of electronic systems, components, and their functions. Troubleshoot product designs and suggest or implement improvements. Conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production models. Perform calibration checks on electronic instruments.
Work with engineers to perform root cause and failure analysis as required. May provide support to manufacturing. Typically requires high school/trade school education, associate degree, certification, or professional training. Perform routine tasks as directed and under close supervision.
Electronics Technician, II

Support engineers by fabricating and assembling electronics prototypes from blueprints, schematics, or sketches using knowledge of electronic systems, components, and their functions. Troubleshoot product designs and suggest or implement improvements. Conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production models. Electronics Technician, III
Assist engineers by performing analysis, testing, and support of electronics and circuits. Support engineers by fabricating and assembling electronics prototypes from blueprints, schematics, or sketches using knowledge of electronic systems, components, and their functions. Troubleshoot product designs and suggest or implement improvements. Conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production models. Perform calibration checks on electronic instruments.
Work with engineers to perform root cause and failure analysis as required. May provide support to manufacturing. Typically requires high school/trade school education, associate degree, certification, or professional training. Complete assignments with little supervision. May assist less-experienced team members.

ResponsibilitiesEnsures safe condition and operation of electrically powered equipment through testing and inspection. Troubleshoots and repairs general electronic equipment.
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT : 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).

Electronics Technician, II: Requires at least 1 year of related experience.
