The Licensing Coordinator supports Maverik’s growing store network by managing licensing, permits, and renewals across federal, state, and local jurisdictions. This role researches requirements, prepares applications, tracks approvals, and communicates with regulatory agencies and internal teams to ensure every location stays compliant, operational, and on schedule. With strong organization, attention to detail, and proactive follow-up, the Licensing Coordinator helps remove roadblocks so Maverik can continue expanding with confidence.
Whythis role matters
- This role directly impacts Maverik’s ability to open, operate, and maintain stores without disruption by ensuring all licensing and permitting requirements are accurate, current, and compliant.
- This role is based at our Salt Lake City Headquarters with a 4-day hybrid in-office schedule.
- The Licensing Coordinator manages store licensing and permitting from research through approval, tracking progress, maintaining records, and communicating with regulatory agencies and internal partners to keep projects moving forward.
- Research federal, state, and local licensing requirements for new and existing store locations.
- Prepare and submit accurate applications for licenses, permits, and certifications.
- Track permit and license status, follow up with agencies, and escalate delays or risks.
- Maintain organized records for licenses, renewals, payments, and changes.
- Communicate with regulatory agencies regarding requirements, timelines, and issues.
- Maintain daily reports and update licensing data in Agiloft and other tracking tools.
- Support internal and external partners by responding to inquiries and resolving licensing issues.

- 1+ years in a licensing, permitting, compliance, or administrative coordination role.
- Hands-on experience preparing and tracking permits, licenses, or regulatory documentation.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Comfort communicating with federal, state, and local agencies.
- Experience maintaining records, reports, and tracking systems with high accuracy.
- You’re a clear communicator, team player, and problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using contract or case-management systems like Agiloft.
- Background in retail, multi-site operations, or compliance environments.
- Familiarity with licensing across multiple states or jurisdictions.
Pay Range: $22.00 – $26.75/hr. + DOE and Bonus Opportunities
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
