- This is a full-time, onsite role open to candidates within commuting distance of our South Salt Lake City headquarters.
As an Accounting Manager at PDQ, you’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting, leading a small accounting team, and working side-by-side with the Controller to drive a disciplined and effective month-end close process.
Responsibilities- Serve as a key leader within the accounting function, helping to build strong processes, controls, and team capability
- Manage and mentor a small corporate accounting team, providing day-to-day guidance, prioritization, and performance support
- Partner closely with the Controller to lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Prepare, review, and approve journal entries (JEs) to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting policies
- Prepare and review account reconciliations, work papers, and close support files to ensure completeness and audit readiness
- Help maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
- Support financial statement preparation and ensure underlying data is accurate and well-documented
- Assist with year-end audit requests and serve as a key point of contact for auditors as needed
- Identify opportunities to streamline close processes and improve efficiency through better workflows and documentation
- 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in public accounting
- CPA strongly preferred
- Strong technical accounting foundation and understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Experience participating in and supporting a structured month-end close process
- Prior experience reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
