Accountant, Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is a contract position with the potential for long-term employment, offering an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills in financial management and accounting processes. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.

- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of financial records.

- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

- Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and aligned with company policies.

- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including generating financial reports.

- Conduct regular audits of accounting records to ensure compliance with regulations.

- Provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities as needed.

- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting workflows and improve efficiency.

- Respond to inquiries regarding financial transactions and provide detailed explanations when required.

- Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation for all accounting activities. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

- Proficiency in posting journal entries and performing bank reconciliations.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

- Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
