Invoicing & Billing Specialist

Overview

The Invoicing & Billing Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely invoicing and payment tracking for a growing trucking company. This role plays a direct role in company cash flow and requires strong attention to detail, follow-through, and comfort working in operational software systems.

This position works closely with operations and management to make sure loads are invoiced promptly, documentation is complete, and accounts are kept current.

• Prepare, review, and send customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner
• Ensure all required backup documentation is attached and correct
• Track invoice status and follow up on missing or incomplete information
• Monitor accounts receivable and assist with collections as needed
• Maintain organized billing records and digital files
• Communicate with internal team members to resolve billing discrepancies
• Support process improvements to speed up invoicing and reduce delays

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable working with computers and business software systems
• Ability to learn industry-specific tools quickly
• Organized, reliable, and able to manage daily priorities independently
• Clear communication skills and a team-first mindset
• Prior invoicing, billing, or accounts receivable experience preferred (but not required)
