Overview
Redi Services, LLC – a recognized leader in the Industrial Services Industry – is seeking a qualified and motivated Accountant to join our team in a full‑time, long‑term capacity. This role is based at our beautiful Sugarhouse office in Salt Lake City, Utah, and offers the opportunity to grow professionally within a family‑owned organization that is deeply committed to supporting your career development and success.
Responsibilities- Work with the finance team to close books each month and year in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Maintain and update general ledger accounts, journal entries, and financial records accurately.
- Record journal entries for accruals, prepayments, depreciation, amortization, and other adjustments.
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented and classified.
- Support intercompany accounting, including reconciliations and elimination entries.
- Produce financial statements and other operating reports no later than five (5) working days after the close of the month’s end, reporting overdue customer receivables and current company payables.
- Complete GL and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Develop an in‑depth knowledge of accepted accounting and bookkeeping practices using Quick Books.
- Post all accounts accurately and timely, recording, tracking, and reporting on customer accounts and specific jobs in Quick Books.
- Become thoroughly familiar with the computer hardware and software in use within the company and be skilled in its application.
- Maintain payroll totals in an up‑to‑date and accurate manner at all times.
- Prepare monthly sales‑tax filings.
- Participate with management in tackling operational and financial challenges.
- Identify and implement process efficiencies in accounting workflows.
Required:
An associate’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience. Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
Technical Skills- Proficiency with ERP systems and accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics).
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
- Knowledge of GAAP and accounting standards.
- Experience with reconciliations and familiarity with financial reporting.
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in accounting, financial, and business principles in a construction service company (preferably in the construction industry).
Ability to Commute / Relocate- Must be able to reliably commute to Salt Lake City, UT, or plan to relocate before starting work.
- CPA (preferred).
$60,000 – $80,000 DOE.
