Summary: At Maverik, we don’t just offer jobs, we offer adventures. This role is responsible for overseeing accurate and compliant payment processing by verifying vendor information, reconciling documentation, and resolving discrepancies related to purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and payments. The position ensures all transactions have proper supporting records, audits expense reports for policy compliance, and assists with 1099 reporting and preparation.
Strong attention to detail, effective communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. This role is based at our Salt Lake City, UT headquarters and requires an on-site presence at least 4 days per week, Monday through Friday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate payment processing, including but not limited to verifying Federal .
- Scheduling and preparing checks, resolving purchase orders, contracts, invoices, or payment discrepancies and documentation, ensuring credit is received for outstanding memos, issuing stop payments or purchase order amendments.
- Ensure proper supporting documentation (e.g. purchase order, approved and reconciled invoices/vendor statements, etc.) exists for all payments
- Verify expense reports and audits the reports to ensure compliance with Travel & Entertainment policy
- Assist with compliance of 1099 reporting and preparation
Qualifications:
Education
Associate’s degree in relevant field preferred
Qualifications:
Experience
- Knowledge of accounts payable functions, with experience with multiple systems highly valuable
- Experience with MS Office including Excel skills

Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $18.00 - $19.00/hr + Bonus Opportunities The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
