I'm currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Maintenance Electrician to join a leading facilities management provider, delivering high-quality maintenance services across a portfolio of high-profile retail forecourt sites in the UK.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established organisation that partners with nationally recognised brands. The environment is fast-paced and customer-facing, so attention to detail, professionalism, and strong technical capability are essential. Previous experience within retail or forecourt environments would be highly advantageous.
You will be responsible for delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites, ensuring compliance, safety, and operational excellence at all times.
Key duties include:
- Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks
- Responding to reactive repair requests
- Electrical distribution, lighting, and power maintenance
- Carrying out electrical inspections and fault finding
- Fire alarm testing, PAT testing, emergency lighting testing and electrical defect repairs
- Maintenance and repair of canopy lights and floodlights
- Hot hold unit repairs and maintenance
- Fabric maintenance including:
- Repairing ceramic and vinyl floor tiles
- Inspecting and clearing drainage and gully systems
- Basic plumbing repairs (taps, toilets, sinks)
- Joinery repairs (doors, digi locks)
- Painting and redecoration
You'll also be responsible for:
- Maintaining maintenance records and H&S documentation
- Completing mandatory and task-based training
- Supporting occasional out-of-hours works (with notice provided)
- Undertaking additional tasks as directed by management
You will report to the Electrical Manager/Supervisor and work closely with both internal functional teams and client representatives on a day-to-day basis.
Technical RequirementsEssential:
- Recognised electrical apprenticeship
- City & Guilds Electrical Installation (Part 1 &
2) OR NVQ Level 3 - 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Basic IT skills (email & Microsoft Office)
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong electrical and general fabric maintenance capability
- Experience with in retail or customer-facing environments
- A proactive and service-led approach
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
