Locum Urology Consultant

Job Summary

This is a 12‑month Consultant Urologist full time role. It is an exciting opportunity to work in a progressive and friendly department with a focus on enhancing our Urology services.

• Deliver specialist care in outpatient clinic by performing outpatient procedures such as LA flexi botox and TULA, and in theatre.
• Attend the Urology MDTs and help develop our pathways.
• Work closely with and support the development of our specialist nursing team.
• Participate in a 1 in 7 on call rota and contribute to outpatient clinics, outpatient procedures, and emergency and elective theatre work.
• Support professional activities and manage time and information effectively.

• The candidate must be on the Urology Specialist Register.
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.

• Evidence of experience as a consultant in urology.
• Appropriate knowledge base and ability to apply sound clinical judgement to problems.
• Experience in managing risk and knowing when to seek help.
• Knowledge and application of up‑to‑date evidence‑based practice.

• Ability to perform effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team and motivate and develop staff.
• Ability and willingness to work within the Trust and NHS performance targets.
