Job Summary
This is a 12‑month Consultant Urologist full time role. It is an exciting opportunity to work in a progressive and friendly department with a focus on enhancing our Urology services.
Main Duties- Deliver specialist care in outpatient clinic by performing outpatient procedures such as LA flexi botox and TULA, and in theatre.
- Attend the Urology MDTs and help develop our pathways.
- Work closely with and support the development of our specialist nursing team.
- Participate in a 1 in 7 on call rota and contribute to outpatient clinics, outpatient procedures, and emergency and elective theatre work.
- Support professional activities and manage time and information effectively.

- The candidate must be on the Urology Specialist Register.
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
- Evidence of experience as a consultant in urology.
- Appropriate knowledge base and ability to apply sound clinical judgement to problems.
- Experience in managing risk and knowing when to seek help.
- Knowledge and application of up‑to‑date evidence‑based practice.
- Ability to perform effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team and motivate and develop staff.
- Ability and willingness to work within the Trust and NHS performance targets.
- Capacity to manage/prioritise time and information effectively.
- Commitment to active clinical governance and learning from errors.
- Ability to contribute to the development of the service.
- Demonstrates clarity in written and spoken communication.
- Considers patients’ preferences when discussing treatment options.
