Respiratory Consultant

Start Date: As soon as possible

We are working in partnership with an NHS Trust in Salisbury to recruit an experienced Respiratory Consultant to support outpatient respiratory services.

This role is primarily focused on outpatient clinics, referral triage, pre-investigation, and Advice & Guidance, helping to improve access to specialist respiratory care and support patient flow. The post will include a mix of face-to-face and telephone consultations.

The role is largely site-based to support clinical activity; however, some flexibility may be considered depending on service needs and experience.

• Deliver consultant-led outpatient respiratory clinics.
• Undertake referral triage and pre-investigation to support efficient patient pathways.
• Provide Advice & Guidance to primary care and referrers.
• Conduct telephone and virtual consultations, alongside face-to-face appointments.
• Apply evidence-based practice and sound clinical judgement to respiratory care.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to improve service delivery and patient outcomes.

• GMC-registered Respiratory Consultant
• Strong decision-making and communication skills
• Comfortable delivering both face-to-face and remote consultations
• Experience supporting Advice & Guidance pathways
• Flexible approach to service delivery
