Laundry Assistant – Laverstock Care Centre, Salisbury - £12.21 per hour

  • 80 Bedded Nursing, Dementia and Residential Care Home
  • Full time; 40hrs per week
  • Shifts include alternate weekends

Responsibilities
  • Sort, wash, dry, iron, and fold laundry for residents and the home laundry.
  • Ensure that laundry is maintained and cleaned according to health and safety standards.
  • Maintain laundry equipment and report any maintenance issues.
  • Organise and distribute clean laundry to residents in a timely manner.
  • Assist with inventory and ordering of laundry supplies.
  • Build positive relationships with residents and staff, contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Ideal candidate
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for creating a clean and comfortable living environment for residents.
