About the Role
As Senior Asset & Compliance Surveyor, you will be responsible for monitoring, assessing, and enforcing property- and asset-related regulatory standards across the Council’s HRA housing portfolio.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Undertaking comprehensive stock condition surveys and inspections
Identifying hazards and assessing risks in line with the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS)
Ensuring compliance with statutory housing standards, including Decent Homes Standard
Assessing component lifecycle requirements and planning asset investment needs
Leading project work relating to stock condition, regulatory compliance, and asset improvement
Providing technical guidance and oversight to Area Surveyors, Repairs Surveyors, and wider asset management colleagues
Supporting strategic asset planning to ensure long-term sustainability of the housing portfolio The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Significant experience in housing asset management or property surveying
Proven experience undertaking stock condition surveys and compliance inspections
Strong working knowledge of HHSRS and Decent Homes requirements
Experience assessing building components and lifecycle planning
Ability to lead technical projects and provide professional advice
Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills
A relevant professional qualification (e.g., RICS, CIOB or equivalent experience)
You will be proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams. We are seeking candidate to start as soon as possible and we are offering a day rate of £300 per day on a Umbrella Company basis. Please apply today for immediate consideration
