As our Manufacturing SHE Lead, youll play a vital role in ensuring the safety of our people across our manufacturing sitessupporting a strong, proactive safety culture that enables lifesaving work to happen every day. About the Role In this key position, youll be the manufacturing safety specialist, working closely with managers and production teams to ensure our facilities operate safely and comply with UK legislation and the RNLI Safety Management System.

Youll lead risk assessments, support incident learning, drive continuous improvement, and help shape a culture where safety is embedded in everything we do. What Youll Be Doing - Providing expert SHE support across manufacturing operations - Developing and maintaining safety policies, systems, and procedures - Ensuring compliance with HSWA, COSHH, PUWER, LOLER and other regulations - Leading risk assessments and advising on effective control measures - Delivering learning reviews and integrating lessons into daily practice - Carrying out safety inspections and audits, ensuring follow-up actions are completed - Championing a positive safety culture through visibility, coaching and collaboration - Contributing to wider RNLI safety initiatives and communities of practice About You Youll bring technical competence, strong communication skills, and a curious, improvement-focused mindset.

Youre confident working with teams at all levels and able to influence safe, practical outcomes. Essential - Level 6 NVQ in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent) - Certified IOSH membership (or equivalent) - Practical experience in occupational health and safety - IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management or equivalent Desirable - ISO 45001 or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor - Degree/HND in a marine or engineering discipline Why Join Us?
