This Secondary School in Andover is a mixed Secondary School with around 900 students in total aged from 11 to 16 years. With excellent facilities, a supportive staff team, and a strong emphasis on both academic and extracurricular achievement, the school provides an inspiring environment for teaching and learning.
The RoleWe are seeking a dedicated PE Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage
4. This long-term cover position begins in January and will run until Easter 2026. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting physical activity, building student confidence, and encouraging healthy, active lifestyles. The role would be a long term contract starting ASAP until at least Easter 2026.
- Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with the national curriculum.
- Inspire and motivate students to participate in a wide range of sports and physical activities.
- Monitor progress, assess performance, and provide constructive feedback.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Contribute to extracurricular clubs, fixtures, and whole‑school initiatives.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Physical Education or a related subject.
- Experience teaching PE at secondary level (KS3/KS4).
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum expectations.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.
- Competitive daily rate (£150 - £230, dependent on experience).
