PE Teacher - Secondary School (KS3 & KS4)

This Secondary School in Andover is a mixed Secondary School with around 900 students in total aged from 11 to 16 years. With excellent facilities, a supportive staff team, and a strong emphasis on both academic and extracurricular achievement, the school provides an inspiring environment for teaching and learning.

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated PE Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage
4. This long-term cover position begins in January and will run until Easter 2026. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting physical activity, building student confidence, and encouraging healthy, active lifestyles. The role would be a long term contract starting ASAP until at least Easter 2026.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with the national curriculum.
  • Inspire and motivate students to participate in a wide range of sports and physical activities.
  • Monitor progress, assess performance, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
  • Contribute to extracurricular clubs, fixtures, and whole‑school initiatives.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Physical Education or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching PE at secondary level (KS3/KS4).
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum expectations.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.
