The successful candidate will take part in the acute medical on call rota at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust on a 1:16 basis, and will participate in clinical commitments such as acute care ward rounds, frailty same day emergency care, rapid access clinics, specialist clinics (including Parkinsons disease and falls), and MDT meetings. The post is advertised as full time (10 PAs), but less than full-time or flexible working would be welcomed.

There is a relocation package available up to £8,000 (terms and conditions apply) and a £22,000 welcome payment (terms and conditions apply). Repayment applies to both the welcome payment and relocation. Payments for the £22,000 welcome payment will be made in two installments: an initial payment at commencement and a further payment 12 months after joining. The welcome payment is open to applicants joining as a full-time or part-time permanent Consultant Medicine for Older People.

A relocation payment of up to £8,000 is also on offer for full-time or part-time permanent appointments. Relocation payment is paid after commencement and subject to terms and conditions. Repayment terms apply if leaving the Trust within three years: 12 months – 100%; 12 to 24 months – 60%; 24 to 36 months – 30%.
