Social Media & Content Creator

The opportunity

A growing multi-site retail business is looking for a creative Social Media & Content Creator to join their marketing team.

This is a hands-on content role where you’ll spend time filming, photographing and creating engaging social media content across multiple locations.

You’ll help bring the brand to life across Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, email marketing and e-commerce, working closely with an experienced Marketing Manager and design team.

Expect to spend time filming seasonal content in garden centres, discovering new products with store teams and turning them into engaging social media stories.

This role offers a lot of creative freedom and would suit someone who enjoys being out capturing real content as much as planning campaigns.

• Create content across multiple retail and garden centre locations

• Mix of social media, email marketing and e-commerce content

• Work closely with a supportive Marketing Manager and design team

• Variety – no two weeks look the same

You’ll manage and create content across the brand’s social media channels. Typical posting frequency:
Instagram, Facebook daily | Tik Tok 4-7 posts a week

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning weekly social media content

• Filming and photographing content at sites in a close network

• Creating lifestyle shoots and product content

• Editing videos for Reels and Tik Tok

• Writing captions and publishing posts

• Responding to social media messages and engagement

• Running Meta Ads campaigns

• Creating the weekly marketing email in Mailchimp

• Supporting additional campaigns in Klaviyo

• Updating homepage banners and imagery on Shopify

• Adding lifestyle imagery to product listings

• Supporting campaigns for related brands where required

• Monitoring and reporting on social and email performance

Content is a key part of this role.

You’ll regularly visit the company’s garden centres to capture:

• New products and seasonal arrivals

• Store displays and inspiration

• Short-form video content

• Lifestyle photography

• Product imagery for social and e-commerce

You’ll also work closely with store teams to identify new products, promotions and trends worth promoting online.

This role would suit someone who:

• Loves social media and content creation

• Is confident filming and editing short-form video

• Enjoys photography and visual storytelling

• Understands Instagram, Tik Tok and Facebook engagement

• Has some experience with email marketing or digital campaigns

• Is organised and able to manage multiple projects

• Enjoys getting out of the office to capture real content

Experience with Meta Ads, Mailchimp, Klaviyo or Shopify would be beneficial but not essential.

This is a full-time role with the freedom to visit multiple sites to capture content.
