Quantity Surveyor

Position: Quantity Surveyor (Permanent)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well‑established property services and maintenance provider operating across Salisbury and the surrounding areas. This role is ideal for someone looking to take ownership of commercial responsibilities, work with a supportive team, and contribute to a wide range of refurbishment and maintenance projects.

About the Role

You will play a key part in managing the commercial delivery of projects from initial pricing through to final account. The role involves supporting operational teams, ensuring financial control, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets
Produce accurate valuations, cost forecasts, and monthly reports
Conduct site visits and liaise with operational teams to ensure financial alignment
Procure subcontractors and negotiate contract terms
Manage variations, claims, and final accounts
Maintain strong client relationships and uphold service quality standards

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Experienced in Quantity Surveying within construction, maintenance, or property services
Strong with numbers and commercially aware
Confident managing multiple projects simultaneously
An effective communicator who builds positive working relationships
Highly organised, proactive, and detail‑focused

Requirements

Experience in a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant QS role
Knowledge of commercial processes within planned or reactive maintenance (preferred but not essential)
Full UK driving licence
Strong IT skills, including Excel and commercial management software
