not‑for‑profit
Children’s Residential Home in Salisbury, Wiltshire. This children’s home will be dedicated to supporting children with learning disabilities and/or emotional and behavioural disorders, offering a safe, nurturing and empowering home where every child can grow, flourish and feel truly valued.

Base pay range

Package description:
Pay from £14.50 per hour or £15.50 per hour if Level 3 in Residential Childcare is held
. The actual pay will be based on your skills and experience – talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Your Role as a Waking Nights Support Worker

As part of a team wholly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, you’ll provide consistent, compassionate support to children with learning disabilities—helping them feel safe, valued and empowered. You will:

  • Build trusting, positive relationships with children and young people
  • Support daily routines—from mealtimes to play and bedtime
  • Help children learn life skills and build their independence
  • Work as part of a team to ensure children feel safe, secure and cared for
  • Support with care plans, routines and risk assessments (with training)
  • Manage night‑time/settling routine and hourly admin checks
  • Light domestic duties
About You

We’re looking for people who are caring, reliable and motivated to make a difference. You don’t need experience— we’ll provide full training and support. You will:

  • Have a genuine interest in supporting children with learning disabilities
  • Be patient, resilient and emotionally intelligent
  • Be flexible, including evenings, weekends and sleep‑ins
  • Be physically and mentally fit for the role
  • Bring a positive attitude and enjoy working within a team
  • Hold or be committed to completing NVQ Level 3 (or above) in Residential Childcare
  • Hold a driving licence (desirable but not essential)
  • Hold a minimum of 12 months of your Right to Work
