We are looking to hire an experienced Field Mechanic to join our team!
Responsibilities- • Troubleshoot and repair heavy construction equipment
- • Order parts as needed
- • Prioritize repairs based on job needs
- • Follow supervisor directions
- • Travel to work sites in the greater Charlotte area
- • Work independently or with fellow field mechanics
- • Complete DOT paperwork in a timely manner
- • Conduct daily Pre-trip inspection of mechanic’s truck
- • Perform regular upkeep of mechanic’s truck
- • Account for daily parts invoices
- • Create and complete work orders correctly and timely
- • Contribute knowledge and ideas to increase productivity
- • Continue learning and strengthening skills
- • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- • Works well independently and has a passion to learn
- • Good organization skills and follow through
- • Alert, focused, and detail oriented
- • Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- • Basic understanding of safe work practices
- • Clean driving record
- • Full set of tools for large equipment repair
- • Familiar with OEM standards
High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
Experience- 5+ years of CAT mechanic background
- Basic knowledge of Cat SIS and ET (training available)
- Current medical examiners certificate (Card needed)
