OR RN in Salisbury, NC

An experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in Operating Room nursing is needed for a contract opportunity in Salisbury, NC. This role involves supporting a busy surgical department that handles a wide variety of complex cases in a Level 3 Trauma, Stroke Center of Excellence, Bariatric Center of Excellence, and Chest Pain Center licensed facility. The dynamic OR team performs approximately 50 diverse surgical cases daily, making this an ideal position for a skilled RN ready to contribute to high-acuity surgical care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Circulate and support cases across multiple surgical specialties including trauma, orthopedic trauma, total joint replacements, spine, cardiac, vascular, gynecology and gynecologic oncology, robotics, general surgery, bariatrics, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, pain management, and plastics.
• Participate in night shift assignments including charge RN duties and scrubbing proficiency.
• Respond to call shifts efficiently with a 45-minute response time during scheduled nights and weekends.
• Collaborate closely with clinical supervisors, charge nurses, educators, and unit support staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain flexibility to accommodate case needs, including ambulatory care and urgent surgical procedures during off-hours.
• Follow institutional protocols and utilize standard OR equipment and technology.

Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina RN license and current BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 5 years of Operating Room nursing experience;
  Charge RN and scrubbing experience preferred.
• CNOR certification is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong skills in laparoscopic and open abdominal procedures, orthopedic trauma, cystoscopy, vascular, and robotics are highly desirable.
• Ability to function independently, demonstrate team leadership, and adapt to the evolving demands of the OR environment.
