Description

Wastequip Trucks Division is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support our Salisbury, NC manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations. The Maintenance Technician will play a critical role in preventative maintenance execution, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

Responsibilities

* Perform preventative maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance, and emergency repairs on manufacturing and facility equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

* Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide range of industrial equipment, including but not limited to:

* Welding machines

* Metal fabricating and production equipment

* Overhead cranes

* Hydraulic and pneumatic systems

* Electrical systems and controls

* Minimize equipment downtime by performing PM inspections and repairs, including work scheduled outside of peak production hours when required.

* Coordinate maintenance activities and repairs with outside contractors and vendors as needed, ensuring work is completed safely and to company standards.

* Perform general facility maintenance and repairs, including building systems and infrastructure support.

* Conduct routine inspections of equipment, facility, and safety systems in accordance with preventative maintenance schedules and regulatory requirements.

* Accurately document maintenance activities, including root cause, downtime, corrective actions, and repair time, using maintenance tracking systems.

* Support and promote a safe work environment by adhering to all company safety policies and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

* Completion of a technical or vocational program in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical/Mechanical Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.

* Minimum of 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, electrical and hydraulic diagrams, and equipment manuals.

* Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, metalworking tools, and welding equipment.

* Prior welding experience is a plus.

* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills.

* Solid computer skills, including experience using maintenance management systems.

* Experience working with preventative maintenance (PM) programs.

* Working knowledge of applicable regulations and standards, including OSHA, NEC, NFPA, ANSI, and state/local codes.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience using Maintain

X or similar CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software for work orders, PM scheduling, and maintenance documentation.

* Experience supporting continuous improvement or reliability initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
