Summary/Objective
Skilled assembly of various pneumatic and mechanical valves, electrical/electronic boards, and components; using a variety of hand and power tools, electrical test racks/devices, fixtures, work instructions, assembly drawings, and test equipment. Requires the ability to follow detailed work instructions and perform a series of operations to correctly assemble and test applicable valves and electrical components.
Essential Functions- Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair failures as needed.
- Report problems with quality, safety, process, equipment, and materials to Production Supervisor and/or Team Lead.
- Provide hands‑on job‑function training to coworkers as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist and train others as needed.
- Understand and support all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies.
- Understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations.
- Understand, support, and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Understand and support relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the goal tree.
- Be a team player and engage with others.
- Technical capacity
- Ability to read and comprehend written procedures and assembly blueprints.
- Ability to access drawings, procedures, and record information via computer.
- Good mechanical skills.
- Ability to assemble/build electrical/electronic components.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing tools is a plus.
- Understanding of safety policies and rules.
- Communication proficiency.
- Good communication skills to interface with employees, production supervisor, and Leadership Team.
- Organization skills.
- Time management.
- Dependable and reliable.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work EnvironmentThe employee will be exposed to shop floor conditions, i.e., noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt, etc. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, and reach with hands and arms.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here represent those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs and can operate lift‑assist equipment to move assemblies.
RequiredEducation and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- One to two years of related manufacturing experience (preferred)
