Network Security Engineer Senior

Job Description

TEKsystems is seeking a skilled and proactive Network Security Engineer to join our customers Network Security team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network infrastructure with a strong focus on Palo Alto firewalls, Zscaler cloud security, and Aruba Clear Pass for network access control. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of network security principles and hands‑on experience with enterprise‑grade security tools.

• Design, deploy, and manage Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including policy creation, threat prevention, and traffic analysis.
• Administer and optimize Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) environments.
• Configure and maintain Aruba Clear Pass for network access control, authentication, and endpoint compliance.
• Monitor network traffic and security alerts to identify and respond to threats in real time.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to enforce security policies and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Maintain documentation for network security architecture, configurations, and procedures.
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for network-related security events.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in network security engineering roles.
• Hands‑on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Panorama.
• Zscaler cloud security solutions (ZIA/ZPA).
• Aruba Clear Pass Policy Manager and Guest Access.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, and network protocols.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer).
• Zscaler Certified Professional.
• Aruba Certified Clear Pass Professional (ACCP).
• Experience with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms.
• Knowledge of scripting or automation (Python, Power Shell, etc.)

Pay Range
: $55.00 - $75.00/hr
