Position Overview

The Fulfillment Advanced Analytics role will work collaboratively with digital product managers, fulfillment data visualization analysts, data scientists, IT, technical teams, and the fulfillment teams to develop analytical solutions that enable reporting end users to understand and improve fulfillment performance. This role will develop a deep understanding of the fulfillment business processes and how these processes are captured in our data environments and consult on data pipelines and develop data models and dashboards to support the fulfillment and brand operations teams.

The position will create analytical solutions, including ML/AI solutions, for our largest business challenges.

Work Schedule

Hybrid schedule: 3 in‑person days at a core location (Salisbury, NC or Quincy, MA) and 2 remote days. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead collaboration with IT to structure fulfillment and digital data so it is accessible for analytical tools. This includes identifying new technology to access data and facilitate analysis and insight development. Requires data engineering and modeling expertise to synthesize data into actionable opportunities.
  • Work closely with product managers and IT engineers to sustainably scale and deploy fulfillment data products and data models.
  • Mentor Fulfillment COOPs by providing project oversight, guidance, and development.
  • Lead and engage in discussions with leadership about innovative analysis approaches and the implications of different data, building alignment on results.
  • Research future states of processes or insights to help fulfillment and brand operations teams.
  • Present new initiatives and tools to stakeholders for review.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of retail operations and/or e‑commerce grocery fulfillment is a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, business, economics, engineering, math, statistics or other quantitatively oriented major;
    Master's preferred.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Power BI, Python, R and SQL. Advanced Microsoft Office skills; mastery of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Significant experience with data engineering, data modeling, operational reporting, predictive analytics, statistics, and structured problem solving.
  • Ability to understand fulfillment operations and system applications and how data from these processes and systems are reflected in a complex data ecosystem.
  • Ability to perform data modeling and combine data from different sources and levels of detail to create business‑relevant insights.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and confidence sharing strategic analytics with senior leaders.
  • Ability to develop a structured approach to complex questions and quickly form a hypothesis to run test analyses.
  • Exposure to Hadoop, Hive clusters, Apache Spark, and Scala is a plus.
