What You'll DoThe Air Link Critical Care Transport Nurse provides high quality patient care and safe medical transport to sick and injured patients in all age groups. Uses an interdisciplinary model to work with the Air Link/Vita Link Staff Paramedic and other appropriate medical personnel to establish and prioritize a plan of care. This plan of care for each patient will be consistent with approved treatment protocols, policies and procedures.
WhatWe re Looking For
- Education:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. - Licensure /
Certifications: - Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of North Carolina.
- BLS/CPR, ACLS, and PALS certification.
- Critical care credentialing (CCRN, CFRN, CTRN, CEN) preferred, required prior to assuming flight nurse responsibilities.
- An advanced trauma certification (TPATC, ATLS, ANTC, TNCC with advanced skills) and NRP required within 6 months of hire.
- State of North Carolina or National Registry EMT encouraged to obtain and maintain within 2 years of hire.
- Current and valid driver s license. Must meet general hospital driving requirements. EVO is required to drive during emergency situations.
- Experience:
Minimum of 3 years critical care/emergency nursing experience, or successful completion of the Vita Link RN Internship program. Current Air Link or Vita Link Critical Care Paramedics may be permitted to complete the department approved Paramedic to RN Bridge Process with the approval of the Chief Transport Nurse and Medical Director.
