MATH TUTOR

Part Time Tutor

Reports to:

Building Administrator

Purpose:

To supplement reading and/or math instruction to academically at-risk students in grades K-5

Qualifications:

Ability to relate to children with special needs; ability to provide instructional activities in collaboration with teacher

Some college training preferable. Minimum education requirements are:

* 48 semester hours which include core courses with an overall 2.5 or higher GPA from an accredited institution; OR

* Associate Degree or higher with an overall 2.5 or higher GPA from an accredited institution; OR

* Work Keys testing in Math - (min score
4);
Reading - (min score
4); and Writing - (min score
3).

Key

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Provide supplemental instruction to academically at-risk students in grades K-5 to provide reinforcement of reading and/or math skills.

* Collaborate with classroom teacher to prepare lessons, materials, and activities that supplements classroom reading and/or math instruction for academically at-risk students.

Other:

* The fee for Work Keys is the responsibility of the applicant.

* Completing the Work Keys tests does not guarantee employment.
