Lead as Chief of Hematology/Oncology at Salisbury VA Medical Center – Sign-On Bonus Available
Practice Environment The Salisbury VA Health Care System is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Chief of Hematology/Oncology for a full-time position. We provide exceptional care across three practice locations:
- Salisbury VA Medical Center (VAMC): A central site offering hospital-based consulting service (no dedicated hematology-oncology inpatient service) and comprehensive outpatient clinics, including a chemo infusion suite.
- Healthcare Centers in Kernersville and Charlotte, NC: Both equipped with full chemo infusion capabilities.

Work Schedule
- Regular Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
- Flexibility: Flexible or compressed schedules may be considered.
- Call Coverage: Approximate phone coverage of 1 in 6.
Academic Affiliation
- Wake Forest University School of Medicine
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification: ABIM board-certified in hematology-oncology.
- Experience: 5 years in clinical practice, clinical trials, and trainee oversight.
Requirements
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship, with non-citizens considered only when qualified citizens cannot be recruited.
- Education: Doctor of Medicine degree or equivalent in allopathic or osteopathic medicine.
- Licensure: Unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Residency: Completion of an accredited residency program in a core specialty.
- Board Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology Oncology.
