Overview

Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) (T1233) s role involves delivering excellent guest service at the checkout and throughout the store, promoting Target’s products and services, and supporting store operations.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with their daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to solve their specific needs and communicate current promos, store activities, and events.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to resolve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Inform guests about Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed.
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards and company best practices.
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
• Explain how to use Target App features, including Wallet, and direct guests to Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering when applicable.
• Handle returns following store policies; collaborate with leadership to resolve guest issues when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area; stock supplies during store hours while remaining available to guests.
• Comply with safety policies, report hazards, and uphold ethical conduct and compliance.
• Support guest services such as order pickup, drive-up, and related duties while complying with applicable laws and store policies.
• All other duties based on business needs.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; stay focused in a fast-paced environment and complete multiple tasks within time frames.
• Accurate checkout operations, basic cash handling, and willingness to learn company policies.
• Physical ability to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally, with or without assistance.
