Description:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for managing high acuity patients who are often too critical for a medical/surgical floor but may not require an ICU level of care.

The team is skilled in caring for populations such as sepsis, diabetic keto acidosis, post open-heart procedures, continuous cardiac infusions, and those requiring acute continuous non-invasive ventilation.

These patients require continuous cardiac and respiratory monitoring.

The Registered Nurse will be prepared to intervene quickly to any changes in hemodynamics or respiratory demands.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating an individualized plan of care for their patients while serving as an advocate and educator to patients and their families.

The Intermediate Care unit is a fast-paced, teamwork-driven environment providing high acuity care to critically ill patients.

May be assigned to day, evening, or night shifts or a combination per departmental policy.

Required to work rotating weekends based on unit needs.

Full-time employees working at least 72 hours per pay period and part-time employees working at least 36 hours per pay period are eligible for benefits.
