Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Shop Operator to join our team in Salisbury, United States. As a Machine Shop Operator, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, operating various machines to produce high-quality parts and components.
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to produce parts to specification
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure product quality and accuracy
- Perform regular quality checks and maintain detailed records of production activities
- Monitor machine performance and report any issues or malfunctions to supervisors
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues as they arise
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a machine shop environment
- Proficiency in operating CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience with precision measurement tools and quality control procedures
- Basic computer skills for operating machine interfaces and recording production data
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and metal fabrication techniques
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Technical certifications in machining preferred
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work flexible shifts as needed
