Job Description
* Provide technical support on specialized telecommunications systems and public safety product applications.
* Troubleshoot Motorola Solutions software-driven electronics, provision communication system infrastructure, perform optimization of RF and Broadband architecture including legacy analog, advanced digital P25 and data infrastructure.
* Maintain, optimize, test, support and document complex mission critical communications systems.
* Perform preventative maintenance routines to ensure proper system operation with a focus on trend analysis and documentation of results.
* Develop solutions to difficult technical problems encountered as part of system maintenance, upgrades or support issues.
* Continuous training in the latest technologies and troubleshooting techniques.
* Team with Engineering, Project Management, and Sales personnel to effectively maintain, optimize and support advanced communication systems which meet or exceed customer expectations.
* Perform maintenance of server hardware/OS and software infrastructure and troubleshoot to resolve system/application related issues.
** Preferred Candidate Experience
*** Strong knowledge of wired communications systems, such as local area networks (LAN) and wide-area networks (WAN)
* Proficient in computer network installation, configuration, and maintenance systems to include cabling, routers, switches, firewalls, and bridges.
* Experience with R.F. interfaces and systems such as transmitters, receivers, and antenna networks.
* Knowledge in standard telephony, dedicated data circuits, and packet switching techniques.
* Strong self-management skills and "people" skills to work closely with Motorola’s customers and subcontractor (MSS) community, as well as Motorola Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Customer Service teams.
* Able to solve customer problems quickly during stressful situations.
* Experience with logging recording systems
** Candidate Requirements
*** Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract.
* Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
* Must be able to pass a background check
* 2 year Associates in Electronics or IT preferred.
* Unique combinations of both multi-site RF communications systems and/or computer/networking skills are preferred.
* 2+ years experience in one of the following:
Electronics Technician, System Technologist, System Manager, or Field Service

Experience with one or more of the following: LMR, RF systems, RF interfaces, wired/wireless communication systems or networking equipment
