The Project Engineer reviews all private development engineering plans for compliance with City Standards and State storm-water regulations, negotiating optimal site development with property owners through review process.
They are also responsible for managing planning, design, and bid packaging of City infrastructure projects including water, sewer, storm-water, roads, sidewalks, bridges, dams, and public buildings and spaces. Coordinates with all AHJs.
Develops in-house designs for projects requested by City Departments. Prepares design documents, budgets, schedules, and value engineering proposals and manages construction contracts to ensure thoughtful and expeditious use of City funds.
Position Requirements Education- Four (4) year ABET-accredited Civil, Environmental, or Transportation Engineering degree. (These degrees are eligible for $12,500 sign on bonus)
Related degrees may be considered.
Experience- One year of full-time civil engineering experience preferred.
Internships, graduate education, and related experience may be considered.
Requirements/CertificationsEngineer In Training (EIT), or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
