Mold Technician – Entry Level

🚨 STARTING RATE: $21-23/Hour 🚨

MMI Engineered Solutions is searching for a motivated Entry-Level Mold Technician to join our team at our plastic injection molding manufacturing facility in Saline, Michigan.

In this role, you'll help install and set up molds according to process guidelines to support efficient and high-quality production. You'll work closely with experienced setup technicians and your shift team to keep operations running smoothly. • Assist with mold setup and mold changes following process guidelines.
• Help prepare equipment and accessories needed for mold setups, including temperature controllers, hoses, and fixtures.
• Follow all safety procedures, including Lock-Out Tag-Out during mold installation.
• Work with the setup team to prepare tools and equipment for upcoming jobs.
• Help tear down molds and store equipment properly after production runs.
• Support the team in maintaining safe, organized work areas.

• We're looking for candidates with 1-2 years of plastic injection molding experience. Preferably with at least 6 months of experience directly helping to set molds.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn hands-on technical skills.
• Proven ability to read and follow technical instructions and documentation.
• Forklift and Overhead Crane experience preferred.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
• Basic math and comfort using a computer.

• Manufacturing environment that may be hot, noisy, dirty.
• Substantial physical activity including walking, lifting, and working around machinery.
• Stop mold installation if there is a quality issue or safety concern.

Schedule: Monday through Wednesday 6-hour shifts, alternating Thursday/Friday or Saturday/Sunday 12-hour shifts. Guaranteed 2 days off per week!
