Stockroom Associate
LOCATION:
Saline, MI
COMPENSATION: $17.00 Hourly
SCHEDULE:
Monday-Friday, occasional Saturday 6 am to 11 am
STANDARD HOURS: 6:00am-2:30pm currently they are working overtime hours.
OVERTIME HOURS: 6:00am-4:30pm-They are currently looking for people to work these hours.
Job Title:
Stockroom Associate
Overview:
As a Stockroom Associate at Emerald Technologies - Saline, you will play a crucial
role in supporting the daily operations of our stockroom under the supervision of the Stockroom
Manager and Associate Coordinator. You will assist in various tasks including kitting materials,
conducting cycle counts, inventory storage, investigating discrepancies, prompt delivery of shop
supplies and repair parts, along with supporting purges and reclasses. Your meticulous attention
to detail and collaborative approach will contribute directly to maintaining accurate inventory
levels and supporting our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Kitting Material:
Assist in the accurate assembly of materials for production orders under the guidance of the Stockroom Manager.
Shop Supplies/Repair Parts:
Participate in timely delivery of shop supplies and repair parts to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations. Maintain accurate inventory records to facilitate efficient ordering and replenishment processes.
Cycle Counting:
Participate in routine cycle counting activities to maintain accurate inventory records and assist in resolving discrepancies as directed.
Labeling and Traceability:
Create and apply labels for materials and assemblies to ensure proper identification and traceability, along with data collection for traceability needs.
Warehouse Organization:
Contribute to maintaining organized stockroom operations to optimize space utilization and facilitate efficient material flow.
Purges and Reclasses:
Assist in processing the purging and reclassification of materials as instructed to ensure quality standards and efficient inventory management.
Teamwork:
Collaborate with and support the Stockroom Manager and team members to achieve departmental goals to satisfy operational requirements.
Compliance and Safety:
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations to maintain a safe and compliant work environment within the stockroom.
Other Tasks as Needed:
Assist with additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Stockroom Manager or Associate Coordinator to support operational needs and departmental goals.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or similar environment is preferred.
Basic understanding of inventory management principles and practices, preferred.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic computer skills, able to efficiently navigate systems and input data; familiarity with inventory management software is a plus.
Effective communication skills to interact with team members and follow instructions from management.
