Shipping Clerk - 2nd Shift

MMI Engineered Solutions is seeking a Shipping Clerk to join our Operations team. In this role, you'll play a key role in managing all aspects of shipping, ensuring products and materials move efficiently, accurately, and on time. You'll maintain shipment records and support the team with hands‑on work, including loading and unloading trucks. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will directly impact on‑time delivery and customer satisfaction.

Monday‑Friday 2:00pm‑10:30pm

• Communicate priorities and shipment status clearly between Shipping Clerks and Shippers.
• Manage the shipment of all products, materials, and supplies, including scheduling, tracking, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Send Advance Shipping Notifications (ASN) to applicable customers.
• Ensure FIFO (First‑In, First‑Out) practices for all outgoing finished goods.
• Track, trace, and update the status of shipments.
• Load and unload trucks using a forklift as needed, ensuring proper placement and safe handling.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area.
• Support urgent orders to ensure shipments leave within 24 hours.
• Prevent shipments that do not meet quality standards or are in substandard containers.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in shipping and receiving.
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Forklift experience required.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently within a team.
• Experience scanning, sorting, pulling, packing, and loading stock.
• Clear communication skills.

• Manufacturing environment that may be hot, noisy, or dusty.
• Requires substantial physical activity including reaching, lifting, and stepping on/off forklifts.
• Shipping and receiving performed in all weather conditions (snow, rain, heat).
• Responsible for ensuring all products meet quality standards before shipping.
