Program Manager (PMWEB)
Responsible for leading the development team activities from Engineering and Process Development through the start of production to successfully launch new products that meet the customer specifications, milestone dates, and financial requirements. Direct and coordinate organizational resources (internal staff, suppliers, etc.) to effectively execute the JPDS (JAC Products Development System) with respect to new product launches and engineering changes. Ensure timely completion of all deliverables for each “Phase”.
Identify program risks and opportunities in advance and put in place corrective and/or neutralizing actions when necessary. Escalate as appropriate. Lead new program APQP, and open issues meetings utilizing the appropriate QMS procedures and work instructions. Monitor and assess supplier performance in the launch process and take corrective action as necessary, through the proper Company resources. Monitor and assess plant launch team activities to ensure on-time readiness for “start-of-production”.
Track Tooling, Capital, and Piece Price impact of program launch activities taking action as necessary to achieve targeted levels of spending and revenue. Approve Purchase Orders for Tooling and Capital and monitor the related financial status of the launch with each new P.O. issued. Act as the customer representative and communicate customer requirements to organization. Maintain accurate and consistent records of launch activity and project status.
Deliver clear and concise project report-outs to JAC Products management team. Manage the program using the PM Tools, Project Timeline, Gain/Loss and Cost Tracker.
- Master Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or foreign educational equivalent. Two years of experience in the position offered, or in a similar position, such as Development Engineer. Experience must include leading complex OEM global programs from quote phase to launch, ensuring cost, time and performance requirements, and coordinate program activities across cross-functional groups including simulation, manufacturing, and suppliers.
