JOB OVERVIEW
Under general supervision, the Storekeeper participates in the requisition, receipt, storage, and delivery of a variety of medical and/or non‑medical equipment, materials, supplies, tools, and confidential and non‑confidential records. The role includes purchasing, receiving, transporting, loading and unloading materials, stocking, issuing, shipping, inventory control, assembling, packaging, record‑keeping, and any other duties as required.
RESPONSIBILITIESA combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to some experience as a stock clerk or warehouse worker or in a related capacity which demonstrates possession of the knowledge and skills listed above.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION- The ability to speak, read, and write Spanish in addition to English would be an asset in this position but is not required.
- Employees who drive on county business to carry out job‑related duties must possess a valid California driver license for the class vehicle driven.
- The Department of Social Services will conduct a thorough background and reference check process, including a Department of Justice fingerprint check.
- Monterey County requires employees to verify an employee’s right to work in the United States and to present required documentation on the first day of employment.
