Under direct supervision, demonstrate the following competencies:

• Interpret and apply utilities blueprints to the electrical scope
• Follow all live-work policies & procedures
• Apply NEC requirements for all installations, including special systems & occupancy
• Read and interpret UBC, NFPA-72, NFPA-70E, safety orders, and applicable codes proficiently
• Investigate and report near misses, incidents, & injuries involving jobsite employees

Under general supervision, demonstrate the following competencies:

• Supervise, direct, monitor, train, and work alongside an Electrician Trainee or Apprentice
• Proficiently handle trade materials, components, equipment, systems, and safety procedures
• Operate hand and power tools necessary for trade tasks
• Communicate technical information effectively with team members and other trades
• Interpret and apply blueprints, shop drawings, and details
• Complete multi-task assignments based on instructions and blueprints
• Generate tools & materials lists for tasks
• Perform layout and preparation for installations
• Instruct and guide assisting employees on tools, safety, and electrical principles
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical circuits, systems, and equipment
• Perform testing and metering up to 480 volts where permitted
• Use volt meters, ammeters, and insulation/resistance meters proficiently
• Maintain a positive attitude, reliability, and initiative
• Follow company rules, policies, and safety requirements
• Complete tasks timely to meet standards

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current State Certified Electrical Journeyman license, if mandated

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Walking, standing, bending, crouching, climbing, and lifting as described
• Use of tools, equipment, and visual and auditory acuity requirements
