GOODWILL CENTRAL COAST – Temporary department‑store processor position in Davis.

Process donated textiles, clothing, housewares, books, toys, decor, and other items for sale. Responsibilities include sorting, grading, cleaning, pricing, invoicing, and packaging. Depending on location, greet donors and accept donations within the store.

• Sort and grade textiles and hard‑sort items into predetermined classifications and quality levels.
• Clean and grade hard‑sort items, removing surface dirt and placing incomplete or broken items into containers for outlet or trash.
• Price items that meet quality standards by grouping according to value.
• Affix appropriate tags or labels to priced items.
• Place items into designated containers for transport to the store sales floor.

• Perform donor services such as accepting donations, documenting information, and communicating with donors.
• Sanitize store and donation locations daily.
• Perform minor janitorial duties as required.
• Perform other related duties not listed.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• No license or certification required.
• No experience required; on‑the‑job training provided.
• Basic math ability.
• Familiarity with Goodwill Central Coast’s mission and general company policies and procedures (to be learned on the job).
• Basic computer familiarity (to be learned on the job).
• Basic English and Spanish communication skills.

Work is performed in a large enclosed warehouse area with an even concrete floor. The space is heated, has natural ventilation, and moderate noise levels. Some public contact may occur.

Regular lifting or carrying up to 25 lbs. Heavier items may require assistance or the use of material‑handling equipment. Tasks require standing, walking, moving, and occasionally bending or twisting.

Physical aspects of the position may be modified, depending on specific modifications and duration.
