Location:

Salinas, California

Compensation: $19.00 - $21.00 – Full Time

• Operation and care of forklift in a safe manner. Must be qualified to properly operate the forklift.
• Complete and document a forklift inspection form before start of shift and when operating a new forklift, and turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs.
• Locate stock before the start of the run.
• Maintain neat, orderly, and safe stacks of stock in storage areas.
• Delivers all appropriate stock to appropriate machines safely and timely while maintaining areas clean and free of debris.
• Remove finished goods bundles from machines, making sure tags and information remain with units, and move to storage or load delivery truck.
• Assist with identifying bad quality boxes and may move to red tag area while making sure tags and/or appropriate identification remains with units.
• Adhere to daily production schedule and make recommendations for optimizing schedules to meet cost, quality, delivery and customer service goals.
• Complete necessary reports in a neat, accurate and timely manner, which may include but are not limited to:
  Production, Safety and Quality Data and Machine Operational Status.
• Relieve other forklift drivers for breaks and meal periods at assigned times, assist other forklift operators when needed, train new forklift drivers and cross‑train in other areas where forklifts are needed.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
• Follow corporate Quality, Sanitation, GMP and HACCP standards to achieve a finished product within quality control specifications.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
