Maintenance Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and operation of refrigeration systems at the Royal Oaks, Yuma, and other facilities.
• Lead and manage the maintenance department, including the creation and implementation of preventative maintenance schedules.
• Prepare and submit mandatory reports in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Stay informed and ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.
• Operate and maintain industrial refrigeration systems efficiently.
• Interpret and follow technical schematics.
• Maintain and operate various machinery, including Hysense baggers, optical sorters, box erectors, welders, conveyors, ISHIDA scales, and Bosch baggers. Add evaporators, screw compressors, vacuum pumps, condensing towers, air compressors, forklift maintenance, and any new equipment brought in.
• Perform welding tasks on machinery as needed.
• Manage documentation control, particularly for GFSI audits.
• Provide technical support to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Enforce all maintenance policies.
• Knowledge of how to use, maintain, and troubleshoot PLC systems, VFDs, and Servo drives.
• Create and maintain parts and tool inventory system.
• Willing to learn new equipment, processes, training, etc.
• Managing maintenance staff:
  Supervising maintenance workers, providing training, and conducting performance evaluations.
• Developing policies:
  Establishing standard operating procedures and company policies for the maintenance department.
• Implementing sustainable practices:
  Identifying opportunities for energy efficiency and sustainability improvements, and implementing sustainable technologies and practices.
• Tracking budgets:
  Monitoring expenses and looking for ways to improve productivity and cut costs.
• Train and supervise employees of the maintenance department.
• Ensure operational efficiency of electrical equipment and mechanical systems through timely inspection and repair.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

• 3+ years of refrigeration experience.
• EPA 608 Certified (Preferred).
• RETA certification; CIRO, CRST (Preferred).
• Strong understanding of ISHIDA scales.
• Experience working with 480V, 3 phase.
• Bilingual (Spanish); read and write.
• Understand ammonia and Freon systems (Preferred).
• Strong understanding of vacuum tubes.
• Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity in drafting and understanding blueprints and schematics.
• Minimum experience of 4 years in a supervisory role.

• Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Travel to the Yuma facility as required.
