Radiology - Mammography Technologist

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled and compassionate Mammography Technologist to perform diagnostic breast imaging procedures. This role requires technical expertise, attention to patient comfort, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards to support the early detection and diagnosis of breast disease.

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
• Position patients correctly to obtain high-quality images while ensuring patient comfort and privacy.
• Operate mammography equipment, including digital and tomosynthesis systems.
• Assist in breast imaging procedures such as needle localization or stereotactic biopsy as directed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of imaging procedures and patient records.
• Ensure compliance with MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act) and ACR standards.
• Maintain and calibrate mammography equipment and report any malfunctions promptly.
• Provide patient education regarding the procedure, self-exams, and follow-up care as appropriate.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field required.
• ARRT certification in Radiography with advanced certification in Mammography (M) required.
• State licensure as required by law.
• Previous experience in mammography preferred.
• Knowledge of breast anatomy, pathology, and radiation safety practices.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills with sensitivity to patient needs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
