Location: Salinas, CA
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour, pay increase after you get your RBT certification
Job Type: PART-TIME (10 hours - 25+ hours per week)
Schedule: Monday to Sunday. Afternoon and evening availability required. Preference is given to candidates with availability 2:00-8:00 pm

What You’ll DoAs a Behavior Technician at BTS, you’ll work 1:1 with children with autism or developmental delays to build communication, social, play, and daily living skills through structured, play-based activities. Sessions take place in the child’s home, clinic, or school, lasting 2–3 hours. We tailor your caseload to fit your availability and match you with age groups you’re comfortable with, from toddlers to teens.
YourResponsibilities Include
- Delivering one-on-one behavior support through fun, individualized activities
- Implementing behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
- Collecting and recording data on client progress accurately
- Communicating regularly with families to provide updates and support
- Participating in ongoing training, team meetings, and supervision sessions

Qualifications- Minimum of 6 months of experience working with children with neurodevelopmental disabilities, preferably in an ABA or behavioral health setting. Relevant direct-care experience, including supporting children with neurodiverse needs or caring for a family member in a similar capacity, will also be thoughtfully considered.
- Positive, enthusiastic attitude and a passion for working with children
- Experience with children or individuals with disabilities is a plus, but not required
- Highly preferred:
Current student or recent graduate in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Sociology, Biology, or related field - RBT certification is a plus, but we will cover the cost of obtaining it
- Spanish-speaking is a plus
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
- Reliability and a willingness to work with a variety of clients
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 18 years of age
