What You Can Expect- Direct Patient Care – Spend the majority of your day in direct one‑on‑one patient care, providing safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment for up to four patients at a time.
- Multiple Patients – Care for a variety of patients across the facility.
- Technician Duties – Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, measure and record vital statistics, observe patients, and set up hemodialysis machines. Exposure to blood and needles is expected.
- Continuous Improvement – Contribute to ongoing process improvements for patients and teammates.
- Relationship Building – Build long‑term relationships with patients suffering from end‑stage renal disease and educate them on kidney dialysis topics.
- Team Collaboration – Work with a cross‑functional team that includes nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leadership. PCTs work under RN supervision.
- Scheduling – Shifts start as early as 4:00 AM and vary based on patient needs. Expected shift times will be shared during the interview process.
- No dialysis experience is required. Training will be provided.
- Training may take place in a facility or a training clinic with other new teammates.
- Potential to float to various clinics during and after training.
- Hours during training may vary but typically range from 32–40 hours per week.
- Flexibility with final home clinic placement and the possibility of placing in different locations.
- Availability for Monday through Saturday mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Desire to enter the health care field and care for people in need.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Comfortable working around blood and needles.
- Comfortable mixing acid or bicarbonate solutions.
- Flexibility and availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Physical and mental ability to work long hours, including some 12+ hour shifts, while on your feet.
- Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory.
- Health care experience is a plus, including certifications such as BONENT, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.
