How you make a differenceThe Mental Health Professional provides clinical services under the supervision of the Mental Health Coordinator, Clinical Supervisor, or Mental Health Director. Responsibilities include assessments, developing treatment plans, delivering evidence-based psychotherapy, and providing mental health consultation and training to facility staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and diagnostic evaluations in compliance with policies and professional standards.
- Complete timely and professional clinical documentation, including service reports and mental health treatment records.
- Consult with institutional staff, including screening committees and psychiatric personnel, regarding mental status and management of patients.
- Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, and program development activities.
- Ensure quality improvement participation and accurate activity recording.
Education
- Master’s degree in a behavioral/social science field from an accredited college or university.
Experience
- Coursework and professional experience indicating knowledge of mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosis, treatment of mental disorders, psychological assessment techniques, crisis intervention, and mental health consultation.
Licenses/Certifications
- LMSW, LPC, or similar state licensure. Must maintain CPR certification and any other required certifications (e.g., First Aid).
Must be independently licensed. $2,500 bonus.
