Resource Special Education Teacher; M​/M

Conecta Education is currently hiring a Special Education Teacher in the greater Monterey County area:

• Full time
• August 2026 to June 2027
• 5 days per week, Mon-Fri
• 35 hours per week, 8:00 to 3:30 p.m.
• Must have a mild/mod or mod/severe credential in CA
• Pay starts at $65 an hour!

• Deliver instruction to students with IEPs, adapting curriculum to meet individual learning needs.
• Implement and monitor IEP goals and objectives.
• Conduct ongoing assessments and progress monitoring; maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to provide coordinated support.
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing input on student performance and progress.
• Support positive behavioral interventions and classroom management strategies.
• Utilize assistive technology and other resources to enhance student learning.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior.
• Attend professional development, staff meetings, and trainings as required.
• Uphold confidentiality and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (IDEA, FERPA).
• Other duties as assigned

• Valid California Special Education Teaching Credential (mild/moderate or moderate/severe, depending on assignment).
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field;
  Master’s preferred.
• Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices (IDEA, Section 504, IEP process).
• Experience designing and implementing differentiated instruction for diverse learners.
• Strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills.
