Conecta Education is currently hiring a Special Education Teacher in the greater Monterey County area:
Schedule & Benefits:- Full time
- August 2026 to June 2027
- 5 days per week, Mon-Fri
- 35 hours per week, 8:00 to 3:30 p.m.
- Must have a mild/mod or mod/severe credential in CA
- Pay starts at $65 an hour!

- Deliver instruction to students with IEPs, adapting curriculum to meet individual learning needs.
- Implement and monitor IEP goals and objectives.
- Conduct ongoing assessments and progress monitoring; maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to provide coordinated support.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing input on student performance and progress.
- Support positive behavioral interventions and classroom management strategies.
- Utilize assistive technology and other resources to enhance student learning.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior.
- Attend professional development, staff meetings, and trainings as required.
- Uphold confidentiality and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (IDEA, FERPA).
- Other duties as assigned
- Valid California Special Education Teaching Credential (mild/moderate or moderate/severe, depending on assignment).
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field;
Master’s preferred. - Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices (IDEA, Section 504, IEP process).
- Experience designing and implementing differentiated instruction for diverse learners.
- Strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills.
